I tried to test the audio problem at a friend's house (different wifi) and the problem wasn't there. - Using an ethernet connection the problem.
Thank you Bro…. You saved me from throwing myself off of the nearest overpass!

I have a Windows 7 computer with a Realtek Soundcard and have been having the popping/crackling noise problem during audio playback for over a year.
After trying numerous other suggestions, and aimlessly uninstalling and reinstalling various drivers on my computer, I tried the DPC Latency Checker and found out that my Atheros AR9285 Wireless Network Adapter was causing serious latency problems on my computer. I disabled it and, VOILA, no more popping/crackling.
Thank you so much and Merry Christmas
